On a squally day with mainly Southerly winds and with frequent heavy showers four class 1 boats and six class 2 boats came to the line. The course was set to take the boats into the Roach to enable a couple of windward/leeward legs with both classes doing the same course as there is an overall prize at the end of the Series. As a severe squall came through just before the start, one of the boats decided not to take part and went back into the Marina. The rest set off with spinnakers being raised. The race was shortened as the boats came back past the Club before they were due to go upriver to Cliff Reach. The winner of Class 1 was Inn Spirit owned by Alan Bartlett followed by The Geek! (Ian Langstone & Partners) and Assarain IV (Angus Bates). The winner of Class 2 was Double Trouble owned by Duncan and Beccy Haley followed by Mantra (Phillip and Sally Harbott) and Harvest Moon (Paul Drew). Overall the winner was Inn Spirit, followed by The Geek! and Assarain IV.
