The race had 4 starters out of a possible 7.  Wind speed at start was 22 knots but gusted to up to about 25 during the race.  The wind direction was SSE.
 
Both Mantra and Blue Movie were over the line at the start, however they pretty quickly caught up.  The course was set down river as far as far as Holliwell followed by a triangle round Redward and Clarks, before coming back up river, passing the club and going on to Cliff Reach and once again turning back to the club line. It was a fast race with the first boat arriving back after only one hour twenty-six minutes.  On corrected time: Mantra (Phillip & Sally Harbot) was first, followed by Blue Movie (Piers Stanbury), Encore (Paul Trueman), and Double Trouble (Duncan & Beccy Haley). The overall results for the two races had the same order.
