Sailing at the Crouch Yacht Club

The Crouch Yacht Club is highly respected across the East Coast and Europe for its cruiser racing successes. On most Sundays of the year between March and the end of December open cruiser racing is provided by the club. You can download the club programme here: () and the race pack that provides detailed information of each event. () .

The club’s strength in cruiser racing has provided many successes in the EAORA (East Anglian Offshore Racing) and SailEAST (Short course IRC racing on the East Coast) championships. The Club has won the team trophies of these championships many times. Since 1998 the club has won the EAORA trophy 7 times, and the SailEAST trophy four times. Winning both trophies in the same year has not been achieved by any club other than the Crouch Yacht Club. The years were: 2000, 2005, 2007, and 2008.

The Crouch Yacht Club also organises some of the races during the famous Burnham Week and is part of the organising committee. It is the place to be in the evenings after racing with a great selection of food, the best live bands and parties.

The club has a strong and growing yacht cruising class with more events and particpants every year. We also have a good motor boat section, enjoying themselves either helping out with the racing, taking part in organised cruising events or just motoring by themselves in the waters of the Crouch and Roach, the Thames Estuary, the Essex and Suffolk coasts. and further afield.
